Dr Steiner has more than 20 years of professional experience in business law, public law, judiciary, arbitration, project management, policy analysis as well as rule of law promotion. He has worked in Germany, Spain, the Maghreb and other MENA countries as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Latin America. Dr Steiner currently advises mainly European and North American companies from various industries in the MENA region.
Interjuridical and intercultural communication competence as well as the knowledge of several languages distinguish Dr. Steiner for international legal work.
Professional career
In his international professional life, Dr. Steiner has been involved in a wide range of activities in the areas – and intersections – of business, politics, law and development cooperation. His experience is relevant to advising on international cooperation and cross-border business engagement, particularly in countries where there are challenges to the effectiveness of the law, the reliability of government action and the transparency of business competition. Dr Steiner is a founding partner of Ule & Steiner SLP, which coordinates the MIDEAST | Law International Legal Practice.

Training
After studying law with a focus on European law and international law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, the University of Granada, Spain (ERASMUS) and the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg (1st state examination, 1999), Dr Christian Steiner completed his legal traineeship and 2nd state examination in Baden-Württemberg (2001). He received his doctorate in law in 2009 from Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main under Prof. Dr. Dr. Rainer Hofmann.
